Acquirers

An acquirer processes payments with debit and credit cards. The acquirer is a financial institution that receives a payment from the customer (through the bank that issued their card) and forwards the payment to the merchant's bank account. An acquiring agreement is required to receive payments from debit and credit cards.

Notice: Transaction fees will occur when an acquirer is processing payments. The fees will vary from acquirer to acquirer.
